December Notes:

Ahhh.. December in the building industry! Such a blend of practical realities - weather, deadlines, year-end pressure, inventory pressure, paired with a warm spirit that comes from holiday traditions. And while we are all hanging our stockings with care, and decking the halls, we also are watching the seasonal slow downs, and weather challenges that are coming our way. We are working to tie up loose ends so we can start January with a clean slate, it's also a heavy month for strategy and preparation for the New Year. Locking in agreements, forecasting demand, planning education and safety refreshers, team meetings, performance evaluations, and next-year goal setting. So much to do! But through all of this end of year and holiday madness, we hope you have a chance to enjoy the small things, the things that make it big. Enjoying the holiday season by putting up Christmas tree's, lights or wreath's in your offices. Host holiday lunches, celebrate accomplishments, reflect on challenges that you've overcome and most importantly find ways to acknowledge how hard your teams work year-round. At J.M.
